So we've all enjoyed the Wedding this weekend and I'm sure everyone appreciated the choice of music, including some real crowd pleasers.

And following on from our Very British Affair concert this Spring, British composers were well represented at this special occasion with Elgar, Holst, Tallis, Rutter, Vaughan Williams, Handel, Howells, Warlock, Boyce & Hughes all making an appearance

It was a wonderful mix of old and new - who would have thought Thomas Tallis "If Ye Love Me" could be in the same ceremony as the Ben E King classic "Stand By Me"!

Meghan walked radiantly down the aisle to the wonderful Elin Manahan Thomas singing the ethereal "Eternal Source of Light Divine" by Handel. The Kingdom choir's version of Stand By Me was uplifting and the St Georges chapel choir's performance of If Ye Love Me was sublime & moving.

The talented young cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason delighted us with Paradis, Fauré & Schubert while the register was being signed. It was gorgeous, so I hope the couple were able to hear it.

And all topped off with favourite hymns - Lord of All Hopefulness and Guide Me Oh Thou Great Redeemer (memories of Tony Robinson & Chepstow Choral Society at Tintern Abbey came flooding back !)

Congratulations Harry & Meghan on your wedding, but also your choice of top class music !
